Position Information
Karabar High School is a partially Selective High school on Ngambri and Ngunnawal lands in Queanbeyan, in the border region of NSW and the ACT. The school has a current enrolment of 723 students in years 7-12, including 14.94% Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and 3.73% English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D).

Remuneration Package
Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.
Specific Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach careers or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in the Careers Adviser qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
* Demonstrated ability to design and implement a high-quality careers program that inspires aspirational thinking, supports students in developing informed career goals, and facilitates exploration of diverse post‐school pathways, including university, workforce and vocational options.
* Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, parents, and key stakeholders such as employers, training providers and community partners.
Conditions
A Relocation Support Payment of $5,000 up to $8,000 will be available for eligible applicants.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
