Job Overview:
The ideal candidate will lead and mentor our bookkeeping team, ensuring high standards and consistent quality. They will oversee day-to-day bookkeeping across multiple clients, reviewing files before they progress to BAS and year-end stages.
Providing technical advice and guidance on accounting treatment, GST, and reconciliations is a key responsibility. Managing workflow in Karbon HQ, ensuring deadlines are met and priorities are clear, is also crucial.
Collaborating with the Accounting Lead to resolve complex issues and maintain a smooth flow of work is essential. Building client relationships and providing proactive support are also important aspects of this role.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 4-6 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting within a public practice environment is required.
* Strong technical understanding of bookkeeping, GST, and reporting is necessary.
* Proven experience managing or mentoring others is essential.
* Excellent communication and organisation skills are required.
* A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving and leadership is necessary.
