We operate and maintain an extensive fleet of transport vehicles, material handling equipment and refrigerated trailers through out our depots in Western Australia.

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to join our well-established team in Forrestfield WA to manage the servicing, maintenance and repair of an extensive fleet of transport vehicles, material handling equipment, and refrigerated trailers. The ideal person for this role will have the capability to hit the ground running and lead a strong team. This is a key leadership position pivotal in ensuring optimal performance and reliability of our entire fleet.

What you'll be doing

* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including scheduling maintenance, assigning tasks to technicians, and monitoring workflow.
* Ensure all vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
* Develop and implement maintenance plans and procedures to maximise the efficiency and reliability of our fleet.
* Manage a team of automotive technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
* Liaise with the operations team to coordinate vehicle schedules and respond to any urgent maintenance requirements.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and costs.
* Monitor workshop budgets and make recommendations to improve cost-effectiveness.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

* Mechanical Trade Certification
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar leadership role within transport workshop environment
* Effective people management and development skills
* High level of computer literacy using EAMS or similar maintenance management software
* Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and Power Point
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people
* Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
* Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
* Ability to work well within a team environment
* Must have a 100% commitment to complying with all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures
