About The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity exists for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our Facility Management team in Burswood.
This role supports the wider WA Facilities Management team through the conversion of business raised requisitions, through purchasing and delivery of high-quality, value-for-money goods and services by engaging with a reliable network of Vendors across the business.
In this role you will be responsible for providing advice to requisitioners on delivering the best outcomes and cost reductions, reviewing and converting business raised requisitions into purchase orders, tracking and expediting purchase orders as required, taking Operational feedback on supplier performance, maintaining purchasing catalogues across sectors, and identifying alternative Vendors for critical items to ensure supply.
You will also assist the Purchasing Lead in reporting, analysis, supplier negotiation, and coaching and mentoring as required whilst also being part of the broader Procurement function, along with the Tenders and Vendor Governance Team, while enjoying ongoing opportunities for learning, development and growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Review requisitions, raise and issue Purchase Orders in line with policy, approvals, and budgets.
- Liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery, negotiate pricing, and manage updates or amendments to orders as needed.
- Support stocktakes, maintain inventory records, and assist regional sites with inventory accuracy and month-end processes.
- Build strong relationships and provide guidance to internal teams on purchasing processes and inventory matters.
- Maintain accurate records to meet policy and regulatory requirements, ensuring catalogue standardisation and pricing accuracy.
- Identify cost-effective alternatives and support cost-saving initiatives through benchmarking and analysis.
- Assist with reporting, dashboard creation, and the continuous improvement of purchasing templates, workflows, and procedures.
- Deliver purchasing process training, support governance efforts, and provide coaching to procurement staff as needed.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field such as Business, Commerce or Supply Chain would be highly desirable
- Experience in facilities management, construction, logistics, or service-related industry would be highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in a Purchasing role, including data entry
- Experience with Purchasing systems e.g. Navision, D365, SAP
- Understanding of Purchasing and Inventory Management principles and processes
- Experience in supplier negotiation and formation of agreements / contracts
- Experience in trend analysis and reporting
- Experience in mentoring and coaching team members
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) suite of programs and document management tools
