Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (Total Television), you will lead the reporting and FP&A functions across some of Nine's premier assets, including Nine Network and 9Now. In this pivotal 14 month parental leave contract, you will act as a key strategic partner to executive leadership, providing the financial insights and commercial foresight necessary to navigate and thrive within a rapidly evolving digital media landscape.
Day to day you will:
* Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team to drive operational and commercial success.
* Direct month-end reporting and statutory compliance in line with Australian Accounting Standards.
* Lead financial cycles, including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning.
* Deliver strategic insights to the Executive team regarding performance, risks, and opportunities.
* Partner with Strategy to build business cases supporting the transition to digital streaming.
* Manage audit relationships and ensure the integrity of half-year and year-end reporting.
* Optimise reporting processes through automation to increase speed and accuracy of insights.
What you'll bring:
* CA/CPA qualification and significant prior experience in progressive finance leadership roles.
* Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor teams and build trust quickly.
* Expertise in FP&A, including management reporting, forecasting, and balance sheet control.
* Commercial acumen to translate complex financial data into actionable business strategies.
* Advanced technical proficiency in Excel, financial systems, and modern forecasting tools.
* Stakeholder management skills to engage effectively with senior leaders and external auditors.
