Requirements
* Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA)
* Specialist registration (or eligibility) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
* Experience working as a Consultant / Staff Specialist Anaesthetist
Expedited Specialist Pathway (IMGs Welcome)
International Medical Graduates may be eligible via the Medical Board's Expedited Specialist Pathway.
The Pathway Is Currently Available For Eligible Specialists In
* Anaesthesia
* General Practice
* Psychiatry
* Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Eligible SIMGs holding an accepted specialist qualification (e.g., UK or Ireland) may commence practice once specialist registration and a supervised position are approved, with a six‐month supervised practice period required.
