Job Description
Do you know all the words to a Frank Sinatra classic, won't say no to a bit of Elvis hip-shaking, and can appreciate a fine model car collection? You might just be the perfect co-pilot!
We're on the lookout for a fun, friendly volunteer to spend one-on-one time with a gentleman living with Alzheimer's who enjoys good company, great tunes, and getting out and about. Think less "quiet visit" and more "mini road trip with a killer soundtrack."
If you're happy to chat cars, debate the best footy team, cue up some old-school superstars on YouTube, head out for a coffee, or take a stroll while humming along to Johnny Cash — this could be your kind of gig.
Bonus points if you can appreciate a smooth Sinatra note, a bit of Tom Jones flair, or channel your inner Dolly Parton for a sing-along moment.
One hour a week. Plenty of laughs. Great music. Excellent company.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements
One hour visits anywhere between Monday to Friday, either visiting before lunch 10am-12pm or after 1-4pm
* 18 years or older
* National Volunteer Police Check arranged and NDIS Worker Screening Check paid for by HammondCare
