Your Opportunity

The Specialist Family Violence Case Manager (RAMP) is responsible for providing short-term case management to support victim survivors who have been referred to the RAMP program. This includes comprehensive risk assessment and safety planning for victim survivors accessing the RAMP program because of high-risk family violence.

This position works closely with the RAMP Coordinators and presents at RAMP meetings regarding the risk and safety of victim survivors and their accompanying children. The role works closely with external services including Victoria Police, partner agencies and community services to develop the capacity of these services to respond to victim survivors experiencing or escaping from family violence.

Your Skills and Experience

Ideally you will have a minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work, or a qualification in a related discipline along with experience in the field or equivalency met through the 7 Equivalency Principles in line with the minimum mandatory qualification requirements. However, we will consider applicants with a relevant Diploma level qualification with extensive experience or recent Bachelor level graduates at a negotiated pay level.

You will have demonstrated experience working with victim-survivors and their children, and a strong understanding of contemporary family violence issues, and experience to undertake comprehensive risk assessments, develop safety plans, and refer to external services/agencies when appropriate.
