SEND Teacher – Wakefield – Part time, ongoing – Start ASAP.
We are currently working with a specialist school in the Wakefield area who are recruiting a teacher to start ASAP and work on an ongoing basis. The school caters for children in EYFS and KS1 with communication and interaction needs as well as autism. This is a part-time role, working 2-3 days per week and has the potential to become a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons based on an EYFS and KS1 curriculum.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and progress.
* Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs.
* Assess and mark student work, providing constructive feedback to aid development.
* Work collaboratively with school staff and contribute to pastoral care and extracurricular activities.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE, SCITT, etc.).
* Recent teaching experience in UK schools.
* Experience delivering lessons to children with a range of SEND.
* Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
* Completed Level 1 Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete online).
* Legal right to work in the UK.
