Role Overview
Inkerman Mill is seeking a skilled and motivated Fitter & Turner to join our team in the heart of the Burdekin Region.
This is a great opportunity to work within a well-established sugar milling operation where your expertise will help keep critical production equipment performing safely and efficiently.
This is a permanent role working day / night rotating shift roster during the crushing season and a day work roster for the maintenance season.
Responsibilities
Support production and engineering teams with maintenance activities during the crushing and maintenance season periods
Installation and monitoring of plant and equipment
Basic troubleshooting of equipment breakdowns, and fault finding
Participate and support the preventative maintenance programs
Provide direction and guidance to other employees where required, including coaching and mentoring of apprentices
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will hold a Certificate III in Engineering - (Mechanical Fitting or Fabrication), along with a current Confined Space certificate, a valid Safe Working at Heights certificate, and a manual driver's license.
