Work at our Sydney campuses with a cafe, gym, library and car park on site. This role supports our North Sydney, Strathfield and Blacktown campuses on an ad-hoc scheduled basis, with days scheduled as required to cover operational needs.
This is a floating role that primarily supports the North Sydney campus, with days scheduled as required to cover operations on the other two campuses.
About the role
Operating within Campus Services, the Technology Support Officer (NSW) delivers a client-focused experience using service management tools, processes and reporting to support the university community and audio-visual enabled spaces. The primary focus is remote day-to-day support of technology and IT services used by staff, students and university visitors that form part of the ACU Information Technology environment.
To be successful, you will have highly effective communication skills to understand technical problems or requests and possess specialist technical knowledge to triage and resolve service requests and provide advice and solutions. The role requires rostered hours which may include after hours and nominated weekend support.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote day-to-day support for technology and IT services across ACU campuses and AV-enabled spaces.
- Triages and resolves service requests; offers advice and solutions to staff, students and visitors.
- Utilise service management tools, processes and reporting to maintain service quality and visibility.
- Collaborate with campus teams to cover operations needs on North Sydney, Strathfield and Blacktown campuses.
- Work primarily at the North Sydney campus with flexible scheduling for other campuses as required.
Qualifications and requirements
- Strong communication skills to understand technical issues and requests.
- Specialist technical knowledge and skills appropriate to IT service delivery and AV environments.
- Ability to work rostered hours, including after-hours and weekends as needed.
- Australian work rights; eligibility for ongoing or fixed-term roles as applicable.
What we offer
- 17% employer superannuation contributions for eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
- Annual leave loading equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata, dependent on commencement date.
- Total remuneration valued to $101,464 - $109,838 per annum (pro rata), including salary component $85,739 - $92,815 (HEW 5) and superannuation/leave provisions.
