Painting Professional Required
We are seeking a skilled and experienced painting professional to join our team. The successful candidate will have over 50 years combined experience working on industrial and civil infrastructure assets, delivering on-site services for asset maintenance.
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, the ability to work as rostered and be punctual, and the capacity to paint successfully to specification with a spray gun. They must also produce a quality finish consistently, work in a professional and safe manner, and understand WHS requirements compliance and PPE usage.
Key qualifications include great problem-solving skills, the ability to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification, and a valid car license. A forklift license is preferable but not essential.
Job Responsibilities:
* Understand surface preparation and finishes
* Complete works to specifications
* Mix two-part paint coatings to the correct ratio
* Select paints, varnishes, and stains for various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers
* Use Wet Film Thickness Gauges and achieve specified dry film thickness
* Work at heights and in confined spaces
* Erect scaffolding and ladders
* Clean equipment and work areas
