Financial Crime Compliance Leader
The role of Head of Financial Crimes Compliance is pivotal in shaping Australia's financial crime compliance framework, fostering robust governance and operational excellence across Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Terrorism Financing, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, and Fraud.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a comprehensive financial crime compliance framework in Australia.
* Drive deeper understanding of financial crime risks and embed a culture of compliance within the organization.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage technology and detect financial crimes effectively.
* Contribute to ongoing improvement of AML policies and procedures.
Operational Oversight
* Ensure daily compliance with AML/CTF Act, Rules, and Regulations.
* Maintain effective operation of AML/CTF, Sanctions, ABC, and Fraud policies and controls.
* Manage AUSTRAC reporting obligations.
* Implement and maintain Customer Due Diligence processes.
Leadership and Development
* Provide strategic leadership to the Financial Crime Compliance team.
* Lead, mentor, and develop financial crime compliance professionals.
Compliance and Governance
* Regularly report on financial crime risks and compliance status.
* Act as the designated AML Compliance Officer/Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
* Monitor regulatory developments and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Minimum 3+ years' experience as AMLCO/MLRO or Deputy AMLCO/MLRO.
* At least 8+ years in Financial Crime Compliance roles.
* Proven expertise in AML/CTF program and policy writing.
