The Curtin Institute for Data Science (CIDS) and the Australian Data Research Commons (ARDC) are leading research data infrastructure initiatives in Australia, focusing on data science, high-performance computing, and digital infrastructure to support research across sectors.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Product Manager to join the ARDC node at CIDS. Reporting to the node’s team lead and the Director of the ARDC, the Product Manager will lead the development of tools and datasets for researchers in Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, and Indigenous studies, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder needs.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for the Community Data Lab (CDL).
Engage with stakeholders to gather input and improve product fit.
Collaborate with engineers to develop, test, and maintain technical features.
Lead community engagement initiatives to promote product adoption.
Track and report on product progress and prioritize development tasks.
Advise external stakeholders on product use and technical requirements.
Candidate Requirements
Relevant degree or extensive experience in product management, especially in research or digital infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of research data management, FAIR principles, and interoperability systems.
Experience in strategy development and delivering research-oriented products/services.
Specialist knowledge in digital research infrastructure or related fields.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage relationships, prioritize tasks, and perform under pressure.
Role Requirements
Current work rights in Australia for the fixed-term contract duration.
Successful candidates must pass a National Police Clearance and background checks.
