St Joseph's Catholic College Katherine – Katherine NT. St Joseph's is a Catholic College, founded in 1987, and situated in Katherine, approximately 3 hours south of Darwin. The College is a co-educational day school providing quality Catholic education from Transition to Year 12. We also offer education in our Early Learning Centre to children 3-5 years old. The College is set on 16 hectares with modern buildings and landscaped gardens.
We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic Front Office Administration Officer to join our team at St Joseph's Catholic College. This pivotal position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the College's Front Office, delivering exceptional administrative and reception support to staff, students, parents, and visitors. Reporting directly to the Business Manager, the successful applicant will provide high-quality administrative coordination and outstanding customer service, supporting the daily functions that help our College community thrive.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reception and phone duties, student records management, financial administration, and parent communication as core daily responsibilities.
Position Title: Front Office Administration Officer
Reports To: Business Manager
Employment Type: Full Time (8.00am – 4.00pm)
Leave: 6 weeks annual leave
Salary: Attractive and negotiated based on experience
Key Responsibilities
* Manage front office reception – liaise with parents, visitors, and students
* Handle phone calls, emails, and correspondence
* Support student timetabling and attendance records
* Maintain student rolls and records using CES systems
* Administer first aid and sickbay duties for students and staff
* Coordinate uniform shop operations including ordering, sales, and stocktake
* Order and manage office supplies and stationery
* Receive and distribute mail
* Support data entry, filing, and general administrative processes
* Assist the Finance Team as required
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 1 year of administration experience required
* Strong administrative and data entry skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Current First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain
* Current NT Ochre Card or eligibility to apply
* Working with Children Check required before commencement
* Current NT Driver's Licence
* Experience with Technology One or other computerised data systems
