Position Summary
To provide an extremely high level of professional service and customer focus to all corporate event clients, maximize hotel revenue and profitability by providing strong sales strategies to ensure maximum conversions and ongoing support to the Event Sales & Planning department.
Role
* Driving sales by preparing accurate and timely proposals and contracts covering venues, menus and accommodation.
* Follow all Capella Events Standards when assisting the department to prepare proposals and contracts, providing administrative support and creating internal Event Confirmations.
* Diligently liaise with clients to understand their needs and objectives.
* Develop and implement appropriate strategies to drive new business into Capella Sydney and The Lands by Capella.
* Liaise with Chefs, Suppliers and venue teams to ensure all elements of each event aligns.
* Develop and manage event timelines, floor plans and catering logistics.
* Provide administrative support to the team as required.
* Collaborate with team members to maintain strong client relationships and develop sales initiatives.
Talent Profile
* Hospitality or Sales/ Marketing tertiary qualifications are preferred.
* Experience: 2-year previous event sales / coordination experience in luxury hotels/resorts or hospitality sector.
* Knowledge of Hotel Property and Catering Management Systems (OPERA & Delphi).
* Valid working rights in Australia.
