We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join one of our NSW Government clients. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high impact financial strategy and analysis within the public sector environment
Reporting to the Manager for Finance, the key responsibilities include:
Timely and accurate submissions of all PTA/carry-forward requests.
Preparation of annual budgets in accordance with PRIME.
Preparation of monthly management reports and PMO financial updates.
GL/Cost centre review and reconciliation of accounts.
Timely and accurate submission of month-end adjustment and any other necessary adjustment journals.
Accurate planning, tracking, and reporting of budgets and forecasts.
Business partnering with 8x Project Managers, providing real time support and financial analysis to manage budget expectations and to help drive results.
Provide value add advice and assurance to the Program Director in relation to
SFSC Program financials to assist in informed decision-making and contingency planning.
Consulting on all financial aspects of briefing notes and project initiation documents and assisting other functions and teams within AHO and/or externally with detailed program-related financial modelling and costing, and analysis.
Coordinate and prepare timely, accurate responses to Ministerial requests and adhoc requests/queries from senior stakeholders, Executive Office, Treasury, Audit Office, and other internal and external stakeholders.
