What You'll Be Doing
Operating and setting up CNC milling, HBM, VTL and turning machines to produce parts to precise specifications
Interpreting engineering drawings and work orders to determine the appropriate machining processes and parameters
Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance
Monitoring machining operations and making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
Collaborating with the engineering team to resolve any issues or implement process improvements
Maintaining detailed records of production activities and outputs
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, ideally within the Jobbing Shop engineering or manufacturing industry
Metal spray, laser cladding or HVOF machining experience perferred.
Minimum of 5+ years experience as a CNC Machinist is required
Strong working knowledge of CNC machine programming, operation, and maintenance
Proficiency in Fanuc CNC programming systems is essential
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the engineering team
Australian work authorisation is required for this position
