 
        
        **Commercial Development Analyst**: 
**Overview**: 
We have an exciting opportunity for a fixed-term Commercial Development Analyst intern to join our Commercial Development Team to proactively support the development of projects for innovation, market, product and services development efforts while assisting to execute commercial opportunities. 
**About the role**: 
This is a six-month fixed term funded internship providing an opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain important early experience to pave a way into a career in commercialisation. 
This role supports Cawthron’s business goals by contributing to both operational and strategic direction through proactively supporting the commercial development team to identify and further develop prospects for innovation, market and product development in response to market demands and execute commercial opportunities. 
You will contribute innovative ideas to enable future growth, analyse current products and services to determine necessary adjustments for increased customer engagement. You will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of the pathway from a great idea to commercial opportunity and how to create value with IP through royalty or similar. You will support the Commercial Development Team through research and analysis including market validation and profiling, including: 
- Managing the collection, manipulation, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data. 
- Producing thorough and well-organised reports, presentations, and graphics to summarise and explain research findings and their implications, including sector insights and analysis 
- Assisting as required in preparing and pitching proposals for research and commercial projects.

**About you**: 
- You either hold or are working toward a qualification in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, business management or a related discipline. Individuals with scientific or technical backgrounds who do not necessarily have business qualifications or experienced are also heavily encouraged to apply. 
- You have a proactive working style and are a self-starter with the ability to deliver to deadlines. 
- You hold strong communication skills, including technical writing and an ability to present findings in a clear manner. 
- You are proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, with strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills. 
- You take a collaborative approach with colleagues.
