Join Our Team! Child Care Centre Cook Wanted

Are you passionate about cooking and enjoy working with children? We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic cook to join our team at our vibrant Child Care Centre. This part-time role offers a fantastic work-life balance and would suit someone semi-retired or seeking flexible daytime hours.



What You’ll Do:

* Prepare nutritious, balanced meals and snacks for 40 children per day from 0-5 years of age
* Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
* Work closely with the team to accommodate dietary requirements, needs and preferences.
* Help promote healthy eating habits in an engaging and fun way.





Who We’re Looking For:

* Experience in cooking, particularly in a childcare or educational setting (preferred but not essential).
* A love for cooking nutritious meals and a passion for supporting children’s health and wellbeing.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
* Friendly, positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

* Demonstrated knowledge of childhood nutrition and menu planning for children in an early childhood education service.
* Demonstrated knowledge of H.A.C.C.P. guidelines and relevant Australian Dietary Guidelines
* Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including dealing with people from various backgrounds in relation to dietary and cultural issues
* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain good working relationships.
* Demonstrated experience working in a team environment and being able to work with minimal supervision
* Communicating effectively with a range of key stakeholders
* Managing time and prioritising issues
* Demonstrated understanding of National Quality Framework
