Safety Sciences Academic Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled academic to join our team and contribute to the growth and development of our distinctive Safety Sciences courses. This position plays a key role in delivering and developing curriculum across multiple study levels, drawing on a broad knowledge of safety sciences and a commitment to applied, industry-aligned education.
Key responsibilities will include teaching and supervising students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as engaging in research that makes a meaningful impact in the field of safety sciences. The successful candidate will have a completed postgraduate qualification in Safety Sciences and demonstrated senior-level industry experience in Safety Sciences.
Our School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences is renowned for its Safety Sciences programs, which include highly regarded offerings in Occupational Health and Safety and Fatigue Risk Management. We're looking for someone who brings innovative teaching approaches and is confident using digital tools and technologies to enhance student learning.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in risk management, safety systems or Occupational Health and Safety law, and be able to shape the future of safety science education. They will also have a proven ability to teach and supervise students, as well as engage in meaningful research projects.
In addition to their technical skills and qualifications, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, students and other stakeholders. They will also be committed to ongoing professional development and be motivated to make a positive contribution to the University's goals and objectives.
