**Your impact as Finance Officer**
We're in an exciting phase of growth and are looking for an Finance Officer to be based in Hobart, Tasmania. This is a high-level financial and administrative role, responsible for providing all transactional finance services to the business, as well as supporting processes that enable us to scale.
You will be working within our Finance Department, reporting to our Financial Controller and working closely with the broader Finance Team, having the opportunity to be mentored on sound financial handling.
We welcome people of any background to apply, regardless of your qualifications. We don't require formal qualifications in finance and accounting, however a degree and CA/CPA qualification is preferred, and would value someone who is self-motivated and results driven who is excited to learn the rigours of future-proofing a fast-growing international business.

A snapshot of your day to day*
- Processing payments in an accurate and timely manner, including international transactions
- Processing invoices, bills payable, and reconciliation of payments in Xero
- Working with departments across the business to ensure accurate and timely preparation of month end financial reporting
- Maintenance of records, invoices, receipts and statements
- Collaborating with the greater Finance and Operations team to develop solutions and strategies
- Administering payroll, including reconciliation of leave, employee reimbursements, and collecting and maintaining accurate employee financial records
- Administering payroll tax and lodgement
- BAS and IAS preparation and lodgement
- Liaise, maintain and build external relationships with key stakeholders
Given the nature of our business, this role would suit someone comfortable adapting to changing business requirements and flexible role responsibilities.
**What we value**
- Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Professional qualifications as CA/CPA, isn't essential but considered a plus
- Experience in book-keeping, accounts payable or equivalent
- Experience working in Xero
- Eagle eye for detail
- Analytical problem-solving approach
- Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
