The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Integration Software Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary development team responsible for supporting and enhancing enterprise systems that underpin a major Australian Government agency's core services.
This role sits within an established agile delivery environment where engineers collaborate with developers, business analysts and technical specialists to maintain high availability production systems while delivering continuous improvements.
The team works across integration services, workflow platforms and modern front-end technologies to support complex business processes and ensure systems remain reliable, scalable and secure.
The role will suit an experienced engineer who enjoys working in mature enterprise environments with well-established platforms and business-critical systems, and who can contribute both technically and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
Remote working arrangements are supported.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop and maintain integration services and enterprise applications supporting critical business systems
* Build and enhance modern web applications using contemporary front-end technologies
* Develop and deploy integration services across enterprise integration platforms
* Translate business requirements into technical designs and production-ready solutions
* Support production environments through investigation, troubleshooting and system improvements
* Document architecture decisions, designs and development activities to maintain accurate system specifications
* Collaborate with developers, analysts and technical specialists to deliver continuous improvements
* Mentor team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
* Support agile delivery practices including sprint planning, backlog refinement and iterative delivery
Skills and Experience Technical Capabilities
* Senior-level experience building modern web applications using enterprise integration platforms such as MuleSoft, J2EE and RESTful web services
* Strong development experience using Vue.js, TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
* Experience developing solutions using the PEGA platform for workflow automation
* Experience working in complex enterprise environments supporting production systems
* Strong integration development and API design capability
* Experience working within agile delivery environments
Highly Regarded
* Experience with Pega Constellation
* Experience with containerisation technologies such as OpenShift, Kubernetes or Docker
* Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
* Experience working with data platforms such as ElasticSearch, Oracle or PostgreSQL
Security Clearance
Applicants must be Australian Citizens and able to obtain a Baseline security clearance.
