Can you tell me more about what you do at VLSB+C?
Great question! We're really proud of the work we do. We are the regulator of the Victorian legal profession. We license lawyers and oversee service standards and conduct. This includes handling complaints about lawyers, investigating poor conduct and overseeing management of trust accounts. We are also the stewards of the public purpose and fidelity funds and administer these to support legal regulation and access to justice in Victoria.
Okay, and what role are you recruiting for?
We're looking for a Data Governance Lead to join our Data & Business Intelligence team. You will establish, implement, and oversee organisation-wide data governance frameworks, ensuring the quality, security and proper use of data. This role is critical in enhancing data quality, compliance, and ethical use across the organisation, enabling data-driven decision-making while maintaining trust and confidence among stakeholders.

We are looking for candidates with the following:
* Proven experience in establishing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards in complex environments.
* Expertise in data management disciplines, including data quality, data security, metadata management, and data architecture.
* Knowledges of data privacy regulations and the ability to ensure compliance within data systems and processes.
* Experience in managing large-scale data-projects, from strategy development to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Relevant Industry or tertiary data governance qualifications.
