The Role
As the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) ILS Manager for Training Devices, you will work within a small Product Support Unit (PSU) of specialists providing ILS, engineering, maintenance and training governance and assurance oversight of the key Navy and Army aircrew training capability.
Key duties
* Monitor and report on ILS, engineering and maintenance plans and use their experience to contribute to engineering investigations;
* Evaluate engineering activities and maintenance processes for compliance with standards to support the safe and reliable operation of synthetic training devices.
This may include
* The development of Commonwealth requests for engineering changes;
* Performing reviews of contractor engineering change proposals and associated contractor deliverables as precursors to providing recommendations on Incorporation Approval;
* Evaluating the results of contractor engineering investigations;
* Reviewing proposed changes to the engineering support arrangements for the synthetic training devices;
* Support the formal qualification of the Flight Simulators;
* Review all reports, change requests, notifications, submissions and schedules relating to Contractor engineering, maintenance and routine contract deliverables; and
* Assessing and reporting on the Contractors performance against the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the Performance Management Framework.

* Be able to work in a fluid workplace by remaining adaptable, agile and adaptable;
* Have a sound level of computer literacy including advanced Microsoft Excel.
