Position Summary
The Head of School Assessments & Partnerships is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth across Janison's school-based assessment portfolio, including ICAS – Janison's flagship, internationally recognised school academic competition – and Academic Assessment Services (AAS) products such as AAS Scholarship & Placement Tests and PSAM.
This role combines strategic revenue ownership with hands‐on leadership of a team of Sales and Assessment Consultants. It is externally focused on building deep, trusted relationships with school leaders and partners, and internally focused on aligning Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Service to deliver successful go‐to‐market execution and outstanding customer outcomes.
The role plays a critical part in shaping assessment strategy, expanding market adoption in Australia and internationally, and ensuring sustainable, profitable growth across the ICAS and AAS portfolios.
We are open to candidates based anywhere across Australia. The role involves domestic travel and may include occasional international travel.
Revenue & Growth Leadership
* Own and deliver revenue targets for ICAS and AAS products across domestic and international markets.
* Develop and execute annual and multi‐year growth plans aligned to Janison's broader commercial and assessment strategy.
* Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion, pricing optimisation, new market entry, and partner‐led growth.
* Monitor performance against targets, pipeline health, and conversion metrics, and implement corrective actions where required.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of Assessment Consultants and administrative support.
* Set clear performance expectations, sales methodologies, and account management standards.
* Build a high‐performing, customer‐centric sales culture focused on long‐term school partnerships and educational impact.
* Support capability uplift in consultative selling, data‐led conversations, and assessment literacy.
School & Stakeholder Engagement
* Build and maintain senior relationships with principals, deputy principals, academic directors, and other key decision‐makers within schools.
* Act as a trusted advisor to school leaders, helping them understand how assessment data can inform teaching, learning, and performance improvement.
* Support strategic or complex sales engagements, including key accounts and high‐value opportunities.
Partner & Channel Management
* Manage and grow relationships with local and international partners involved in the distribution or delivery of ICAS and AAS products.
* Define partner strategies, targets, enablement requirements, and performance frameworks.
* Identify new partnership opportunities that expand reach, capability, or market presence.
Go‐to‐Market & Marketing Collaboration
* Partner closely with the Marketing team to design and execute annual go‐to‐market plans and campaign activity for ICAS and AAS.
* Provide market insight and customer feedback to inform messaging, positioning, and campaign timing.
* Ensure strong alignment between sales execution and campaign objectives.
Product & Customer Collaboration
* Work with Product Managers to identify product enhancements, new initiatives, and roadmap priorities based on customer and market needs.
* Contribute to the development of new assessment offerings, enhancements, or delivery models.
* Collaborate with Customer Service and Operations teams to ensure high‐quality delivery, customer satisfaction, and retention.
* Champion the voice of the customer internally and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Experience, Skills & Qualifications
* Senior commercial or sales leadership experience, ideally within K‐12 education, edtech or assessment contexts.
* Demonstrated success owning and delivering revenue targets across multiple products or portfolios.
* Proven experience leading and developing sales or consulting teams.
* Strong capability engaging with senior school leaders and education decision‐makers.
* Highly developed commercial acumen and ability to balance growth, margin, and customer outcomes.
* Excellent cross‐functional collaboration skills, with experience working closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer teams.
Desirable
* Background in school leadership, teaching, or education system administration.
* Experience with educational assessments, data analytics, or performance measurement.
* Experience managing channel or partner‐led sales models.
* Exposure to international education markets.
