Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care and household assistance to clients in their own homes. This may include assisting with daily tasks such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and hygiene, as well as supporting clients with cleaning, meal preparation, and general household tasks.
In addition to these duties, the successful candidate will also provide transportation services to clients, driving them to medical appointments, shopping, and social activities. They will also foster social interaction and provide companionship to clients, offering emotional support to improve their quality of life and overall well-being.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Effective communication skills and an empathic approach
* Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
* Access to a fully maintained and insured vehicle
* Strong planning and organizational skills
* Competency with smartphones/tablets or willingness to learn
* Physical fitness for manual handling and extended periods of standing/sitting
The successful candidate will hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC30213) and have current First Aid and CPR qualifications. They will also hold a current unrestricted Australian Driver's License.
