Occupational Therapist Role

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work in the Kimberley region to provide high-quality therapy services. Our facilities are well-equipped and located in remote areas, making this an ideal opportunity for those passionate about working with culturally diverse communities.

The role involves visiting clients in their homes or community settings, as well as providing services in very remote areas. We understand that accessibility can be challenging, which is why we offer professional 4WD courses and charter private aircrafts to facilitate travel to these locations.

You will have the opportunity to work with children and adults who have varying disabilities, drawing on your skills and experience to deliver effective therapy interventions. Your interpersonal skills, cultural competence, and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in this role.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification
* Current membership with APRA (Full registration)
* Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, particularly when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
* Ability to learn and grow within the role
* Well-developed oral and written communication skills
* Willingness to obtain NDIS Worker's Clearance
* Current Driver's Licence
* Vaccination against Covid-19 (recommended three vaccinations)
* Current Working with Children's Check (or willing to obtain)
* Current First Aid Certificate including CPR
