About the opportunity:
We are now looking for an Experienced HP Digital Printer to join our team in Kilsyth VIC.
Printers are the core of our business to produce quality products for our customers within the required targets.
The role is Day shift - 12 hours per day 6am to 6pm.
Working three fixed days per week – Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (Saturday paid at double time)
Key Responsibilities include:
* Safe operation of the Digital HP Printer to deliver perfect product within the assigned daily production
* Have an eye for detail when printing label products which have tight quality specifications.
* Ensure timely set-up of machines for the print run.
* Work flexibly, to ensure customer needs are achieved and to minimise downtime.
* You will contribute to all steps in our production process and practices including, Quality, Safety, Good Manufacturing practice (GMP) housekeeping and Environmental control measures.
* Form a trusting bond with your colleagues such as the warehouse, pre-press team and broader production crew and communicate effectively across multiple work groups.
* Support minor maintenance tasks and trouble shooting.
* Support other team members (printers, finishers, pre-production) with tasks to ensure customer and production needs a are met.
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Ideally hold 3+ years' experience working with any digital or press printing.
* A Trade Certificate in Printing or relevant certification would be advantageous.
* Must be able to work autonomously and take initiative.
* To have high attention to detail and proud of your work standard – quality focus
* Demonstrated planning and organisational skills.
* Be a team player that can communicate effectively across multiple work groups.
