About the Role
CSR is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our sites across Welshpool and East Victoria Park's manufacturing operations.
In this hands-on leadership position you will deliver consistent product quality, meet service level expectations, and drive cost-effective outcomes.
You will foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and sustainability, optimise operational performance through Lean Manufacturing principles, manage capital projects, and support innovation initiatives.
You'll be a key member of the leadership team, contributing to business strategy, supporting product innovation, and ensuring the site meets its operational and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
Provide active leadership across daily operations and long-term planning.
Foster a growth and learning mindset within the team, driving capability and succession planning.
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve throughput, quality, and efficiency.
Deliver against safety, quality, service, and cost metrics.
Lead technical direction and support business transformation through cost modelling and project execution.
Manage capital expenditure and ensure effective change control.
Develop and track strategic plans for capacity, structure, and capital investment.
Support product innovation and marketing strategies.
Drive operational improvement and sustainability initiatives.
Contribute to broader business strategy as part of the leadership team.
What You'll Bring
Proven operational leadership experience in manufacturing, including batch and continuous processes.
Strong knowledge and practical application of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Demonstrated change management and project leadership skills.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building abilities.
Strategic mindset with a flexible and innovative approach.
Experience commissioning significant new equipment.
