Site Engineer - Civil-265356
The UGL/TasWater Alliance is recruiting a Site Engineer to join the delivery team for the Pet Dam project—an exciting new infrastructure initiative involving bulk earthworks and cast in-situ concrete structures.
This role is central to the successful execution of one of Tasmania’s major water infrastructure developments, part of TasWater’s $1.1 billion capital works program.
As a Site Engineer, you’ll provide hands-on engineering coordination and support across design, procurement, installation, and testing phases.
You’ll work closely with the Project Engineer and broader delivery team to ensure technical excellence, safety, and timely completion of works.
What you’ll be doing
- Assist in planning and executing site works in line with project specifications and contractual obligations.
- Provide engineering support to subcontractors and suppliers, including technical queries and documentation.
- Monitor and record site activities, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Liaise with design teams and ensure timely availability of client-supplied materials.
- Support procurement processes and contribute to cost estimation and reporting.
- Promote a strong safety culture and participate in risk assessments and WHS initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet project milestones.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Structural Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in civil and concrete structural works.(Dam projects highly desirable)
- Prior experience managing subcontractors and supporting project delivery.
- Knowledge of AS9001 Quality Systems.
- Robust interpersonal and communication skills.
- C class driver’s license.
