Project Manager - Mobile Office Solution

The Project Manager - Mobile Office Solution manages the delivery, support, and recovery of the Mobile Office Solution for major events, such as a Referendum or Federal Election. The AEC's Mobile Office Solution delivers ICT capability into temporary Out-posted centre warehouses. These warehouses are used to stage, facilitate, and process the ballot papers resulting from major events. This role requires a Project Manager with experience and knowledge of logistics. The role sits within the IT Infrastructure Section of the Digital Technology Branch.
1. About our requirements
The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
1. Manage and report on project risks, issues, budget, and schedule status.
2. Undertake contract and procurement management activities.
3. Implement effective change control.
4. Task and co-ordinate AEC staff to meet stringent outcomes and organisational timeframes.
5. Communicate with stakeholders, both internal and external.
6. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Azure DevOps for project management.
7. Experience in analysing data and other quantitative and qualitative information.
8. Ability to think critically and demonstrate excellent initiative and judgement to deliver outcomes.
9. A demonstrated ability to work autonomously and a strong commitment to working harmoniously within a team to achieve positive results and support the AEC's strategic direction.
10. Additional tasks as directed.
11. Additional responsibilities during an Electoral Event.
The volume of duties significantly increases during an electoral period, and there may be a requirement to work outside of standard business hours during this time.
2. About the Project
The Digital Technology Branch delivers a range of ICT services to the agency including infrastructure, application development and communications. ICT services are delivered through a select sourcing model, with a mixture of in-house and outsourced resources.
The Digital Technology Branch is committed to building the agency's information technology capability by providing resilient, modern, and secure systems informed by data and insights, and to upskill teams to develop innovative new products and services.
3. Security Requirements
Applicants will be required to obtain a Police Check, and obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 AGSVA Clearance.
4. Work, Health and Safety
Applicants will be required to comply with the AEC's WHS policies and standards including the AEC's COVID Vaccination policy.
