HAYS Technology is supporting a Parliamentary agency seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join a small, high‐performing team delivering internal business systems used across Parliament House.You will step in as the key technical lead for solution design and delivery, working closely with a BA and two developers. Your new role
You will take a senior position in a small, well‐established development team that delivers internal business systems used across Parliament House. You will lead solution design from the ground up, shaping how new applications are built and how existing tools evolve. You will work closely with a BA and two developers, providing technical direction and setting standards for delivery.You will manage requirements with business users, translate them into clear technical outcomes and own the delivery process from design through to deployment. The work is structured through an agile approach, with steady demand and backed funding that supports long‐term planning. You will have strong influence over architecture decisions, integration approaches and improvements to current tools.
The role is suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, working end‐to‐end, and partnering directly with users who rely on these systems each day.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Strong experience delivering solutions across the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
2. Experience leading delivery in a small team, owning design decisions and guiding technical direction.
3. Ability to engage with stakeholders, gather requirements and translate them into practical outcomes.
4. Background in agile delivery with end‐to‐end involvement in solution design and implementation.
5. Experience with SPFx, React, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
6. Baseline clearance, with NV1 preferred
