About the Position: Our client is looking for an experienced Special Counsel – Commercial Lawyer to take ownership of complex matters, mentor developing lawyers, and play a key role in building the practice. You’ll advise a strong base of quality clients (established private enterprises, high-growth businesses, and sophisticated stakeholders) across a broad mix of commercial matters, including: Drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts General commercial advisory for in-house style client needs M&A support and transaction structuring (asset/share sales, due diligence, completion) Shareholder arrangements, joint ventures, governance and board advisory Leasing and property-related commercial matters (as relevant to client needs) Risk management, privacy/compliance and operational legal support Supporting dispute strategy alongside litigation teams where required This role is built for a senior operator who enjoys being hands-on with files while also leading people. You’ll be trusted with autonomy, backed by high-calibre Partners, and supported by advanced AI-enabled systems that streamline admin and improve drafting, document review, research and matter management.
