About the Role
As a Functional Consultant – MDG (Data), you will play a key role in designing, configuring, and implementing SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions. You will deliver business solutions through design, build, and test phases, ensuring successful systems integration and client success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead functional design, configuration, and deployment of SAP MDG for domains such as Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, Material, or Finance master data.
* Facilitate blueprinting, process workshops, and solution design sessions aligned to SAP MDG and SAP S/4HANA best practices.
* Translate business requirements into functional specifications for MDG data models, workflows, UI configuration, rules, and validations.
* Support integration of MDG with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, CRM, SRM, and non-SAP systems using SOA, RFC, IDoc, and SAP Data Services.
* Configure governance workflows, BRFplus rules, data replication frameworks, and mass processing functionalities.
* Define and implement master data governance policies, operating models, and data quality standards.
* Support data migration and data cleansing activities using MDG, SAP Data Services, or related tools.
* Collaborate with technical consultants on enhancements, extensions, and custom objects for MDG.
* Conduct system testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and cutover support.
* Provide thought leadership on SAP MDG capabilities, roadmap alignment, and industry best practices.
* Prepare functional documentation including solution designs, configuration documents, test scripts, and training material.
* Support client stakeholder management and provide post-go-live hypercare.1 JD w expenses-)
The Successful Candidate
To be considered, you must:
* Be an Australian Citizen with a current AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance (NV1 or above preferred). Candidates with Baseline clearance who are willing to secure higher clearance will also be considered.
* Have strong functional experience with SAP Master Data Governance, including configuration of data models, governance workflows, and business rules.
* Possess knowledge of SAP S/4HANA master data concepts, including Business Partner, material master, and finance master data.
* Have experience in SAP MDG data replication frameworks such as DRF, SOA services, or ALE/IDoc integration.
* Be experienced with BRFplus for rule-based decision logic.
* Understand data governance principles, data quality management, and master data lifecycle management.
* Be able to run workshops, gather requirements, and translate them into SAP MDG functional configurations.
* Have exposure to data migration, data consolidation, or data quality improvement programs.
* Familiarity with SAP BTP extension options for MDG is beneficial.
* Hold a bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
* SAP MDG or SAP S/4HANA certifications are beneficial.
* Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to quality and detail.
* Be able to work independently in client-facing roles and support complex enterprise environments and multi-vendor delivery teams.1 JD w expenses-)
