We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Production Lead to join our Frozen operations team. Reporting into the Site Lead, you will aid in supporting the delivery of the operations strategy through leading the relevant production teams to deliver on safety, quality, cost, reliability and performance.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Ensure the productive & effective management of all processing and packaging personnel on assigned shift
- Review and support other functions on site during assigned shift (e.g., Raw Materials, Engineering)
- Develop and manage the Team Leads in line with corporate and divisional goals through the effective processes of team building, objective setting, performance review, feedback, training and development and recognition.
- Clear understanding of improvement tools and cost tracking to drive improvements and cost out within the production area
- Lead the development and implementation of site performance and continuous improvement plans including individual projects and projects for team members
- Delivery of year-on-year objectives for safety, quality, cost, reliability and delivery aligned with the overall One Operations Strategy.
- Work with the broader business functions to deliver on improvement initiatives, operational excellence, new product development, capital planning, training plan and personal objectives for team members.
- With support from key stakeholders, identify constraints within the department and develop action plans to address.
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement and root cause analysis for problem solving that supports the delivery of the One Operations Strategy through operational excellence methodologies and tools.
**You will have**:
- Demonstrated production, manufacturing or similar management experience, preferably within the Dairy Industry.
- Competency in computer-based communication and information management tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- The ability to plan and co-ordinate several simultaneous work activities and be forward thinking.
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Continuous improvement and modern process control techniques
- Core understanding of Food Safety and HACCP principles and practices
- Basic understanding of budget preparation (financial and analytical capability)
- Tertiary education in manufacturing, engineering or demonstrated equivalent desired
