This role is heavily focused on content creation, presenting, filming, and editing, combined with hands-on indoor plant care and general store support.
You'll be working independently most days, creating educational and entertaining content that reflects the Hydro Oasis mission and personality.
Content Creation (Primary Focus)
Be the on-camera presenter for Hydro Oasis across all our social media accounts
Film and edit:
Care guides & tutorials
Repotting demonstrations
Product and nutrient spotlights
Rare/exotic plant showcases
Behind-the-scenes content & store updates
Follow a content plan and independently produce polished videos without needing supervision
Bring creative ideas for new series, formats, and trends
Maintain a consistent brand tone, quality, and visual style
Plant Care & Store Presentation
Look after the indoor plant displays, watering, pruning, rotating, and identifying issues early
Keep the plant area fresh, healthy, and visually appealing
Suggest new plants or varieties you think our community will love
Assist with packing plant orders carefully and correctly
Customer Engagement
Chat with customers in-store and answer basic plant questions
Help customers select plants suited to their home environment
Represent Hydro Oasis with warmth, enthusiasm, and confidence

Loves indoor plants and understands basic plant care
Is confident, natural, and engaging on camera
Can independently film and edit both short-form and long-form content
Works well alone and takes ownership of their results
Is creative and full of ideas, yet organised and reliable
Can see the bigger picture and wants to grow with a young business
Doesn't need micromanaging and takes pride in delivering high-quality work
You do not need formal horticulture or video qualifications Passion, experience, and initiative matter most
What This Role Is Not
