About the role:
We are looking for motivated service technicians to join our Sydney team to install, service and train customers on primarily Fiber laser cutting machines, Press brakes, Linishing machines, Fiber welders, CO2 laser cutting machines. They will also be required to troubleshoot, and problem solve any machine issues with support from your management as well as the international manufacturing team. You will be one of the team installing the machinery but will also focus on training the customer on machine software, working through test pieces, adjusting settings to suit and assisting the customer with software and machine based questions/issues (training provided). The position calls for someone professional with industry experience (preferably Technical Machinery or Mechanical Engineering industry experience). The ideal candidate would have basic experience working with CAD software and graphic design packages as they will be required to learn and train the customer on a range of laser software programs.
You will be responsible for managing servicing/installations, communicating with customers, problem solving and developing instruction manuals/troubleshooting guides etc. You will need to be a fast learner, with the motivation to learn new technology and software as our business progresses.
Our company sells and services Australia wide, with offices currently in Melbourne, Sydney and Gold Coast. The position requires travel Australia wide with 1-4 night stays out of state regularly (travel, accommodation and generous expenses covered for overnight stays during week days)

Key Duties:
Installation, Service of Fiber laser cutting, Press Brake and Linishing machinery
Customer Software and Operational Machine training
Troubleshooting and problem solving – machine issues during installation
Troubleshooting application/software design solutions with the customer
Demonstration of machinery in the showroom to potential customers
Phone and Email support and assistance
Managing servicing bookings and calendar
Documentation and instruction writing
Car and phone provided (must have drivers' license)
The ideal candidate must have/be:
Able bodied for physical installations
2+ years industry experience (service or mechanical field)
Basic electrical knowledge
Some CAD experience – the role is heavily software based
Strong problem-solving skills working well under pressure
Motivated positive attitude
Mechanically minded
But most importantly you must be interested and keen to learn the exciting field of Fiber laser equipment. This job is challenging but interesting and rewarding
