The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a Sydney based Chief Financial Officer to join the portfolio company of a leading Australian PE firm.
Deal-making, capital management, commercial negotiations, business development and customer engagement will all be core activities concurrent with the usual financial responsibilities of a traditional Chief Financial Officer.
The Challenge
This is an ideal role for an outstanding finance executive who wants to play a part in shaping the future direction of the business. The role will be challenging and exciting as you are overseeing the routine of the finance function while also being directly involved in complex commercial matters and the strategic direction of the business.
Partnering with the CEO, the ELT and the PE group, your responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring the preparation of timely financial and management reports for the company
* Planning and directing the company's strategic long term financial goals while evaluating existing plans
* Partnering with the ELT on all treasury, financing and debt management strategies for the company
* Creating and maintaining an effective management performance framework for the company
* Conduct commercial reviews and financial analysis of key business opportunities and strategic projects
* Analyse business performance data, identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost reduction and recommend process improvements to enhance outcomes
* Support the business in pricing strategy, including major customer contracts and re-tenders, ensuring a rigorous approach to pricing decisions and margin optimisation
* Developing and maintaining dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics
* Coordinating all tax, audit matters and reporting matters
* Taking a lead role in driving improvements in systems and processes throughout the company
The Expertise
This opportunity is appropriate for a current Chief Financial Officer or Finance Director with previous experience working in a leading PE portfolio company. Furthermore it is likely you will possess:
* Significant finance leadership experience in fast paced dynamic growth environments
* High achievement drive, your personality is energetic and you enjoy working within dynamic, fast-paced cultures
* The presence and communication skills to successfully support and report to board and PE owner
* Proven capability to develop and lead high performance teams
