Join Realscape Productions at Adelaide Fringe to present three multi‑sensory DARKFIELD experiences – taking place inside purpose‑built shipping containers where, using binaural audio, sensory deprivation and special effects, DARKFIELD audiences are placed centre of a narrative completely at odds with the space it occupies.
ABOUT REALSCAPE
Realscape Productions are international producers specialising in immersive, site‑specific productions and interactive events. Currently touring the DARKFIELD experiences in Canada, the USA, Australia, and New Zealand. We foster a team culture that is collaborative, supportive, and enjoyable.
EXPERIENCE TEAM
The experience team ensures the efficient operation, sales, and ushering of our DARKFIELD experiences. The position requires persons with strong interpersonal and communicative skills, and a general interest/eagerness for the arts. Applicants should be very comfortable in talking to large groups of the general public.
Persons with technical experience in a similar role and/or general experience within the performing arts and theatre are encouraged to apply.
PLEASE NOTE
This is a FOH/event role and applicants should have relevant experience – we are not looking for collaborators/performers to work on current or upcoming projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure that all guests and patrons have the most immersive and memorable experience
* Provide customer service to audiences, including the promotion and selling of tickets
* Brief audiences on certain safety procedures and adhere to those procedures accordingly
* Usher audiences in and out of the experience with health, safety and visitor experience at the forefront
* Contribute to nightly reports on venue operations and attendance
* Use ticketing systems and cross‑platform messaging via a provided mobile device
* General tech maintenance of the experiences
SEASON OVERVIEW
Our Adelaide season will run from the 13th February to the 22nd March 2025 and you should have good availability from 4pm Mon‑Weds, 3pm Thurs‑Fri and from 1pm Sat‑Sun. Weekend availability is essential .
It is important that you review the DARKFIELD Australia website before submitting your CV. Shows occur inside 40ft shipping containers for 20‑25mins in total darkness and you must experience both shows as part of your training.
