Barwon Valley Golf Club is seeking a dynamic enthusiastic individual to join our team as Casual Retail and Hospitality Worker. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with members and guests while delivering an outstanding experience both on and off the course.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
* Customer Service & Bookings: Assist members and guests with Tee bookings and inquiries, providing friendly and professional service in person and over the phone.
* ProShop & Retail Sales: Manage daily operations including processing sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
Maintain a well-stocked and visually appealing retail areas, ensuring shelves are tidy and inventory is rotated as needed.
Actively promote and sell golf equipment, apparel, accessories by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable products.
Conduct regular stocktakes and assist with inventory management to ensure accurate records ad stock levels.
* Driving Range Management: Monitor the Driving Range facilities, ensuring they are well maintained, providing an enjoyable experience for all.
* Hospitality: Assist with food and beverage sales in the Clubhouse, offering a warm and welcoming service to all patrons.
Provide Bar service, including preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Perform barista duties, preparing high quality coffee.
Deliver excellent table service, ensuring guests have a positive dining experience.
* Cash Handling: Process cash and card transactions with precision, ensuring accurate sales reconciliation at the end of shifts.
* Open/Close Procedures: Perform opening and closing tasks across all venues, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and readiness for the next day.
What we need:
* Positive attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and part of a team
* Previously experience in a customer service role, preferably in a golf of hospitality environment with a strong emphasis on delivering elite level service.
* Knowledge of golf related products (desirable but not essential)
* Flexibility to work weekends and varied shifts
* Current RSA
* Outgoing personality and a great sense of humour
