Job Title: Executive Sous Chef
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Food Preparation: Prepare high-quality dishes using fresh ingredients and adhere to established recipes and cooking methods.
* Cooking and Presentation: Cook food to order, ensure visually appealing presentation, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Kitchen Operations:
* Support Senior Chefs: Assist senior chefs during busy service periods, ensuring seamless execution of meals and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
* Workstation Management: Maintain designated workstations in a clean, organized, and stocked condition at all times.
Food Safety Compliance:
* Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain strict hygiene, cleanliness, and WHS standards throughout the kitchen.
* Food Handling and Storage: Follow all food handling and storage requirements in accordance with HACCP and legislative guidelines.
Teamwork and Communication:
* Collaborative Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and maintain a positive working environment.
* Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with chefs, supervisors, and front-of-house staff as needed, ensuring seamless communication and minimizing errors.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Commercial Cookery Qualification: Hold a commercial cookery qualification (or be working towards one) and have previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
