The Bay Building Group is a market leader in insurance building in Australia, operating nationally for 40 years and specializing in repairs to domestic and commercial properties damaged through insurable events.
We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to help deliver insurance reinstatement and commercial construction projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will focus on coordinating trades on-site to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring safe, quality, and timely work.
* Attend site inspections and meetings, monitor progress, and escalate risks or delays.
* Build strong relationships with clients, trades, and suppliers.
* Enforce safety and quality compliance, including inductions, reporting, and audits.
* Maintain registers (RFIs, drawings, variations, defects).
* Assist with scheduling, documentation, and milestone updates in Procore/SharePoint.
* Support purchase orders, subcontractor claims, and cost tracking.
About You
* Trade qualified (Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, or similar) with 2–5 years' construction experience.
* Experience in supervision, leading hand, or foreman role preferred.
* Familiarity with insurance reinstatement or commercial projects a plus.
* White Card and driver's licence required.
* Confident communicator, organised, and proactive with a commitment to safety and quality.
* Comfortable with MS Office and construction software (Procore experience desirable).
