What this role is all about
We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Digital Professional (BIM) to join our Brisbane team. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and digital delivery, supporting high-quality mechanical design through BIM, coordination, and model-led project delivery.
You'll work across sectors including Defence, Health, Education and Infrastructure, contributing to complex projects while strengthening our digital capability nationally.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both technical mechanical engineering and digital/BIM workflows, and wants to play a key role in how projects are delivered at Lucid.
How you'll contribute day-to-day
* Deliver mechanical designs using a model-led (BIM) approach
* Develop and manage Revit models and digital documentation
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated BIM delivery
* Support design of mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water and BMS
* Undertake clash detection, model reviews and coordination workshops
* Contribute to digital standards, workflows and continuous improvement
* Work closely with engineers, clients and contractors to deliver project outcomes
* Support and mentor junior team members in BIM and digital delivery practices
* Attend project meetings, site inspections and contribute to reporting
What sets you up for success
* Has building services mechanical experience (5+ years ideal)
* Strong capability in Revit and BIM workflows
* Understands Level of Detail (LOD), coordination processes and digital delivery standards
* Enjoys bridging the gap between engineering design and digital modelling
* Strong communicator who can work across teams and disciplines
* Proactive, detail-focused and committed to high-quality outcomes
* Familiar with Australian Standards, NCC/BCA and building services requirements
* Brings curiosity and a mindset for continuous improvement in digital engineering
* Must be an Australian Citizen to be considered for this role
