We are seeking a Behavioural Therapy Assistant to provide 1:1 therapy to clients under the guidance and supervision of a Therapy Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping individuals with autism and developmental delay reach their full potential.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will work closely with children and families in various settings, providing high-quality support and therapy services. Your strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and their families will be essential in making a positive impact on their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 therapy to clients under the guidance and supervision of a Therapy Supervisor
* Support clients in developing skills; communication, social interactions, and emotional regulation
* Collect client data to track progress and identify areas of improvement
Skills & Experience:
* Studying or completed a Degree/Certificate in Psychology, Disability, Education, Occupational Therapy, or related field (preferred)
* Experience working with children is highly desirable
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Requirements:
* Right to work within Australia
* Working with Children Check & NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module - 'Quality, Safety and You'
* Full Australian Driver's License & Vehicle, current car registration and comprehensive car insurance
* Laptop/iPad - you will be using your own device on shift
