Support Students with Special Needs
As an Education Assistant, you will be part of a dedicated team that provides educational, health and behavioural support to students with special needs.
The role involves assisting teachers in implementing individualised education programs across all academic areas. This may include delivering specialised programs both on and off site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work collaboratively with teachers to understand students' needs and develop effective individualised education plans.
* Provide educational, health and behavioural support to students with special needs, promoting their learning and well-being.
* Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, teachers and community members, fostering a supportive environment for everyone.
* Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals and enhance student outcomes.
Requirements:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships and work effectively as part of a team.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared objectives.
* Organisational skills and ability to use technology to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.
* Knowledge of strategies for supporting learning and behaviour, and experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Eligibility Criteria:
* Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or valid visa with relevant work rights.
* Working With Children Check and National Criminal History Check clearance to ensure the highest standards of care and safety.
