The Office of the Children's Guardian (OCG) is seeking an Assistant Child Safe Officer to join our Specialised Substitute Residential Care (SSRC) team.

About the role
The Specialised Substitute Residential Care (SSRC) scheme regulates providers of overnight respite and behaviour support for children. SSRC includes arrangements between a parent and an organisation for a child to receive care away from their usual home for short or long periods of time. The care must be for respite or behaviour support, or funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The Assistant Child Safe Officer provides administrative and support services to the SSRC team within the Child Safe Organisations Directorate to facilitate the smooth running of the operational processes and systems. The role also administers the SSRC Register, as well as responding to enquires from stakeholders.
To be successful in the role you will have the ability to:
* Provide a range of administrative and support services, including processing sensitive information and records relating to Specialised Substitute Residential Care (SSRC) to support the effective operation of the monitoring program.
* Run and analyse data reports, and conduct data integrity, quality assurance, remediation, analysis and reporting activities, escalating issues where required.
* Provide excellent customer service and maintains confidentiality when responding to and managing enquiries, and processing registrations for new SSRC providers.
* Coordinate office systems, procedures and organisational methods to improve team efficiency in accordance with policies, procedures, systems and performance standards.
* Organise allocated work within agreed priorities and timeframes to ensure deadlines are met; prepares regular activity and/or project progress summaries to assist with reporting.
Desired skills and experience:
* Excellent administration skills and demonstrated experience in customer focused roles.
* Skilled in data entry with a high level of accuracy, and the use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Essential Requirements
* All roles associated with the Office of the Children's Guardian are required to have a current Working with Children Check.
* Employment at the Office of the Children's Guardian is subject to the satisfactory completion of security and vetting checks.
