The Role
Based at our Birkenhead SA operations and reporting to the Production Manager, this full-time permanent role plays a key part in ensuring safe, compliant and efficient production. You’ll support day-to-day operational functions, maintain continuity of supervision during resourcing gaps, and champion our safety and environmental standards.
This position offers career growth, exposure across production and maintenance teams, and the chance to contribute to process improvements within one of Australia’s leading industrial brands.
Responsibilities
- Support operational teams to meet Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
- Maintain and improve Birkenhead isolation procedures and site documentation.
- Coordinate OH&S; activities, training and competency requirements.
- Provide supervision relief and support during shutdowns and mill down days.
- Assist with production and maintenance planning, process control and materials management.
- Identify improvement and cost-saving opportunities across operations.
What you will need to succeed
- Strong commitment to safety, setting, quality and wellbeing.
- Prior experience in operational supervision and/or HSE.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders confidently.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability and solid IT skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, contribute to team outcomes and work shift hours as required.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (desirable).
