The role of a Disability Support Practitioner is to provide vital support for adults living with cerebral palsy, enabling them to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Offering respectful assistance with personal care, mealtimes, medication, and daily routines.
* Manual handling
* Supporting clients in making their own choices and developing skills to enhance independence.
* Fostering positive relationships with our clients.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* A professional background in Disability Support or equivalent lived experience.
* A strong 'can-do' attitude, embodying CPA values and prioritizing client-focused care.
* Current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 minimum).
* Availability to work 3 eight-hour active overnight shifts per week.
Training and Development Opportunities:
* Ongoing training and learning throughout your orientation period.
* Buddy shifts with experienced Disability Support Workers.
* The opportunity to complete a nationally recognized qualification such as Certificate III in Individual Support.
