This is a pivotal role for someone who combines technical depth with leadership strength. You'll guide our structural, geotechnical and drafting specialists to deliver complex, high-value solutions across infrastructure and large commercial projects, with specific expertise in soil–structure interaction.

The Role:
As Principal Structural Engineer, you will take responsibility for the delivery of complex solutions across infrastructure and large commercial projects. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, applying expertise in soil–structure interaction, FEM analysis, and structural design to ensure technical excellence. You'll also develop capability within the team, guiding and mentoring engineers to deliver with efficiency, accuracy, and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership across multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex solutions with efficiency and technical excellence
* Guide methodologies, design reviews, and technical reporting for infrastructure, ground engineering and temporary works projects
* Deliver technical reviews and guidance across analysis and design tasks, ensuring rigorous outcomes while building team capability
* Apply expertise in FEM analysis, soil–structure interaction and design of steel, concrete and ground structures
* Strengthen organisational capability by advancing systems and compliance processes as well as enhancing accreditation and industry recognition
* Play an active role in business development and client engagement
Requirements
About You
To be considered for the role, you must have
* Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (CPEng highly regarded)
* 10+ years' structural design experience within the consultancy environment
* Demonstrated leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams
* Strong technical expertise in FEM and structural analysis software (Robot, Wallap, Revit & other Engineering Software)
* Proven ability to deliver detailed designs for shoring and ground support systems as well as engineering methodologies and technical reporting
* Knowledge of bridge assessment, load rating and construction support will be highly regarded
* Excellent client communication skills and involvement in business development
